Materials Planning Manager (Hybrid)

Sofie Co.Dulles Town Center, VA
$130,000 - $140,000Hybrid

About The Position

At SOFIE, we're on a mission to improve patient outcomes through the development and delivery of cutting-edge molecular diagnostics and therapeutics. As a leader in radiopharmaceuticals and theranostics, we operate at the intersection of science, technology, and healthcare—bringing innovative solutions from research to patients who need them most. Joining SOFIE means working alongside passionate scientists, engineers, healthcare professionals, and industry experts who are driven by a shared purpose: improving lives. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Materials Planner to support material availability for a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing operation. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, ordering, and managing raw materials and related components to ensure uninterrupted production while balancing inventory levels, shelf-life considerations, and service requirements. Reporting directly to the Director of Purchasing, you will be the bridge between strategic procurement and day-to-day manufacturing execution through a dotted line reporting structure into operations. The ideal candidate brings experience in materials planning within a cGMP-regulated environment and is comfortable working cross-functionally with Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Operations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining supply continuity, minimizing shortages and excess inventory, and supporting compliance with internal specifications and regulatory requirements. This is a unique opportunity to join SOFIE at a pivotal stage of growth. As the company continues to expand its reach, capabilities, and impact across the healthcare ecosystem, you'll have the chance to help shape what comes next. Rather than stepping into a fully matured organization, you'll play an active role in building the processes, systems, and strategies that will support SOFIE's next phase of scale.
