Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Materials Planning & Logistics Manager. Relocation assistance is provided for this role which will be on site at our Westminster, SC location. Eaton’s Mobility Group, US Engine Valve business is currently seeking a Materials Planning & Logistics Manager to join our team. This position is located at our Westminster SC Loc Facility. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ work experience in supply chain within a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum one (1) year of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • At all times, follows and enforces safety protocol, including use of PPE (personal protection equipment) and maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Participate in the development of plant strategic plans and align departmental goals, including development of supply chain strategies
  • Lead materials management activities through SCM team – planning/scheduling, inventory management, procurement, logistics
  • Balance current and future customer demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities/capacities to ensure completion of customer requirements
  • Direct purchasing activities for production materials and non-production materials including capital and facilities (MRO); Responsible for minimizing purchase price variance
  • Build organizational capability through development plans, mentoring, driving accountability, cross-training & succession planning
  • Recommend alternative course of action as part of closed loop process to reconcile differences between production capacity and unconstrained demand
  • Responsible for out-sourcing activities to meet demand requirements and reduce supply chain risk
  • Responsible for reviewing Excess & Obsolete inventory and guide disposition
  • Develop the replenishment strategy for value stream part numbers in the MRP system to generate requirements for manufactured and purchased parts while ensuring desired inventory levels are maintained
  • Utilize root cause analysis and basic problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement in processes and metrics
  • Lead and direct the material planning team to balance the demand as driven by Material Requirements Planning (MRP), shop floor capacity and customer sales orders
  • Improve automated processes to maximize the flow of information and material in support of plant manufacturing goals
  • Identify methods and processes to improve velocity of material moving through the plant
  • Assists in expediting material, where required, to meet shortfall between current plan and customer order requirements
  • Maintain good working relationships with customers (internal and external).
  • Ensure the cycle counting process is fully deployed and that action plans are developed, and root causes of issues are resolved to achieve acceptable inventory accuracy (98+%).
