About The Position

Nestlé Purina in Flagstaff, Arizona, is a key distribution site for dry pet food, producing 280,000 tons annually from brands like Dog Chow®, Beneful®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Alpo®, and Pro Plan®. The facility is committed to environmental responsibility, focusing on water conservation, renewable electricity, and zero waste. As a Materials Planning Coordinator, you will manage assigned commodities to ensure 100% availability for scheduled production. This role involves collaborative work across the factory, overseeing inventory monitoring, ordering/expediting, and freight management. You will build strong internal and external working relationships and manage daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
1+ year of experience working in material purchasing, inventory management and/or transportation coordination in a manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, military or related environment.

Responsibilities

Investigate & reconcile discrepancies within the materials procure to pay and freight payment processes.
Create, update, and track inbound truck schedule and provide follow-up with carrier compliance issues.
Contribute to and participate in team effort by engaging in Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) activities to drive results.
Respond to supplier questions regarding payments, weights or grades.
Reconcile BNSF miscellaneous accounts and support department demurrage reconciliation and cost reduction initiatives.
Maintain ingredient freight rate summaries and manage files on rate configurations.
