About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing production planning activities, ensuring the efficient flow of materials and components to support manufacturing schedules and meet customer demand. The position partners closely with operations, supply chain, and cross-functional teams to maintain production continuity, optimize inventory levels, and ensure the timely delivery of parts required for production. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and analytical planning professional with experience balancing customer demand, production requirements, and material availability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field with minimum of 2 - 4 years applicable experience in Business or related field or minimum of 6+ years applicable experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Experience in Microsoft Navision or Business Central
  • Experience in Paragon/SAP
  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP) experience
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • High oral and written skills
  • High level of ability to multi-task
  • High level of attention to detail needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience utilizing PowerBI dashboards for data analytics
  • Experience utilizing self serve data to analyze and improve planning systems

Responsibilities

  • Schedule productive material required to achieve the production plans, activities or processes.
  • Monitor and manage material and supply of inventories.
  • Assess production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials and quality control measures.
  • Estimate/forecast materials requirements.
  • Confer with department supervisors to assess progress and discuss the changes needed.
  • Requisition and maintain inventories of materials, supplies and equipment necessary to meet production demands.
  • Monitor inventory to standard metrics, including turns, target inventory and excess/obsolete disposition practices.
  • Revise production schedules when required due to labor or material shortages, backlogs or other interruptions, collaborating with management, production, engineering and work orders.
  • Monitor shipping and receiving operations of the facility, distribute production schedules, and work orders to departments.
  • Escalation point of contact to supply base, internal partners/departments and Corporate management to ensure assembly production to plan.
  • Establishes high level of interaction with Canton PDC to ensure successful supply chain flow.
  • Supports the implementation of the RPPL Materials tasks/objectives during the launch of the new products.
  • Coordinate accounting activities for purpose of invoice corrections/transmittal information, price corrections, and material cost calculations.
