About The Position

Worthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE), a joint venture between Worthington Enterprises and Armstrong World Industries, is a leader in the production of suspended ceiling systems, specifically metal ceiling grids. Founded in 1992, WAVE operates under a philosophy rooted in the golden rule, fostering strong employee-employer partnerships. WAVE is currently seeking a Materials Planner to join their team.

Requirements

College degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent work experience preferred.
Three years of experience in supply chain, production planning, manufacturing management or related.
Strong ownership and attention to detail, highly organized and capable of solving practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Commitment to delivering quality results and overcoming obstacles in a time-sensitive environment.
Ability to prioritize multiple work streams while remaining calm in a fast-paced department.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
The ability to build relationships and the comfort to reach out to internal and external contacts to request information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools, BPCS, SAP, Cognos.

Responsibilities

Manage the flow and inventory of raw materials to support the production plan.
Manage raw material inventory, obsolescence inventory, and scheduled cycle counting on a daily basis.
Communicate, identify, and mitigate risks to the production plan daily.
Plan the production schedule for assigned lines through BPCS & SAP daily.
Promote company culture and commitment to safety daily.
Adjust raw material priorities to align with the weekly extended plan (4 to 6 weeks) weekly.
Manage material rejects through suppliers weekly.
Identify and mitigate production constraints (manpower, raw material flow) with the leadership team weekly.
Report on key metric performance for service, costs, inventory, and plant performance monthly.
Drive process improvement throughout the supply chain monthly.
Assist with project management of capital or strategic activities monthly.
