About The Position

As DP World supports the growth of hyperscale and enterprise data center infrastructure, the Materials Planner / Operations Planner helps ensure uninterrupted operations, inventory accuracy, and supply chain efficiency. The role connects operations, procurement, logistics, suppliers, and customers by managing inventory levels, forecasting demand, and ensuring materials are available when needed. It helps prevent stockouts while avoiding excess inventory carrying costs. The position coordinates transportation and shipment activity, supports inventory discrepancy resolution and customer communications, and contributes to process documentation and improvement. The employee works in an office setting and travels to the warehouse as needed.

Requirements

Customer service background in logistics, with the ability to resolve problems in a timely manner.
Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook, with strong emphasis on using Excel for tracking and analysis.
Ability to manage inventory in RF, portal, and manual system environments.
Understanding of transportation modes and service levels.
Work in an office setting and travel to the warehouse as needed.

Previous telecommunications site delivery coordination experience.

Responsibilities

Provide rate quotes for nonstandard transportation, including expedited shipments.
Register orders, including any special requirements such as extra labor, forklifts, or cranes.
Ensure on-time pickup and delivery, and track and trace shipments.
Apply applicable late reason codes in accordance with service failure tracking and reporting.
Work with customers to resolve inventory discrepancies.
Follow up on exception reporting and damage assessment, and communicate findings to customers.
Participate in process-flow documentation and standard operating procedures.
Identify opportunities for improvement based on customer needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
