About The Position

The Materials Planner is responsible for updating, monitoring, and following up on purchase orders within Oracle. This role involves communicating with suppliers regarding acknowledgements, lead times, open orders, delivery dates, and shipment status. The planner will expedite materials and finished goods as needed to support inventory availability and customer demand, track open purchase orders, and proactively escalate delays, shortages, or supplier risks. Additionally, the role supports the resolution of receipt, invoice, quantity, and supplier discrepancies in partnership with internal teams. The position also involves reviewing demand, forecast inputs, inventory levels, open POs, open manufacturing orders, and warehouse balances to support replenishment decisions. Key responsibilities include identifying out-of-stock risks, low inventory positions, excess/slow-moving inventory, and potential supply disruptions. The planner will support safety stock, reorder point, and demand-based planning activities across warehouse locations and partner with Production, Materials, Logistics, Customer Service, and Sales support teams to prioritize inventory needs. Maintaining planning data accuracy to support Oracle MRP, purchasing, inventory visibility, and replenishment execution is crucial. The role also requires using Oracle ERP for planning, inventory management, receiving, supplier data, item data, and reporting activities, as well as reviewing Oracle outputs and exception reports. Troubleshooting Oracle-related issues and ensuring data accuracy are also key functions. Support for 3PL and Amazon Fulfillment includes coordinating with 3PL partners, monitoring Amazon inventory levels and replenishment needs, and ensuring alignment between 3PL/Amazon inventory activity and Oracle records.

Requirements

Minimum 2-4 years of experience in planning, materials management, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
Strong hands-on experience using Oracle ERP, preferably Oracle EBS.
Experience working with 3PL warehouses, inventory movements, inbound/outbound logistics, and warehouse replenishment.
Experience supporting Amazon inventory, fulfillment, replenishment, FBA/FBM, Vendor Central, Seller Central, or similar Amazon supply chain processes.
Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data comparison, and inventory analysis.
Ability to read and interpret inventory, demand, PO, supplier, and warehouse data.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to follow up clearly and professionally.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and escalate risks appropriately.

Nice To Haves

Experience with MRP, safety stock planning, demand planning, or forecast-driven replenishment.
Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, printing, textile, or product-based environment.
Knowledge of item master data, BOMs, lead times, HTS codes, UPCs, costing, supplier setup, and SKU setup requirements.
Experience reconciling inventory between Oracle, WMS, 3PL systems, and customer/marketplace platforms.
Experience supporting new product launches, product transitions, inventory allocation, or supply continuity planning.

Responsibilities

Maintain planning data accuracy to support Oracle MRP, purchasing, inventory visibility, and replenishment execution.
Use Oracle ERP to support planning, inventory management, receiving, supplier data, item data, and reporting activities.
Review Oracle outputs and exception reports to identify purchase requirements, supply gaps, demand changes, and inventory concerns.
Troubleshoot Oracle-related planning, receiving, inventory, and data issues with internal support teams.
Ensure data accuracy related to purchase orders, receipts, item attributes, supplier information, lead times, planning parameters, and inventory transactions.
Support process stabilization, transaction cleanup, and reporting needs in a live Oracle environment.
Coordinate with 3PL partners to support inbound receipts, outbound shipments, inventory accuracy, replenishment, and fulfillment requirements.
Monitor Amazon-related inventory levels, replenishment needs, shipment timing, and stock-out risks.
Support Amazon fulfillment requirements, including inventory availability, shipment planning, warehouse coordination, ASN or shipment documentation, and issue resolution.
Work with Logistics and Customer Service teams to resolve 3PL order issues, inventory discrepancies, shipment delays, and fulfillment concerns.
Ensure 3PL and Amazon inventory activity is aligned with Oracle records and internal replenishment plans.
