The Materials Planner is responsible for updating, monitoring, and following up on purchase orders within Oracle. This role involves communicating with suppliers regarding acknowledgements, lead times, open orders, delivery dates, and shipment status. The planner will expedite materials and finished goods as needed to support inventory availability and customer demand, track open purchase orders, and proactively escalate delays, shortages, or supplier risks. Additionally, the role supports the resolution of receipt, invoice, quantity, and supplier discrepancies in partnership with internal teams. The position also involves reviewing demand, forecast inputs, inventory levels, open POs, open manufacturing orders, and warehouse balances to support replenishment decisions. Key responsibilities include identifying out-of-stock risks, low inventory positions, excess/slow-moving inventory, and potential supply disruptions. The planner will support safety stock, reorder point, and demand-based planning activities across warehouse locations and partner with Production, Materials, Logistics, Customer Service, and Sales support teams to prioritize inventory needs. Maintaining planning data accuracy to support Oracle MRP, purchasing, inventory visibility, and replenishment execution is crucial. The role also requires using Oracle ERP for planning, inventory management, receiving, supplier data, item data, and reporting activities, as well as reviewing Oracle outputs and exception reports. Troubleshooting Oracle-related issues and ensuring data accuracy are also key functions. Support for 3PL and Amazon Fulfillment includes coordinating with 3PL partners, monitoring Amazon inventory levels and replenishment needs, and ensuring alignment between 3PL/Amazon inventory activity and Oracle records.
