Sustainability is not just how we do business—it is our business. The Materials Pick & Pack will ship materials based on Life Sciences and Customer need. This role is on-site and requires 5 days a week.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong computer skills required with knowledge of Outlook, Word and excel; Fourthshift, MRP, ERP preferred
  • Must take Forklift cherry picker Packaging methods required
  • Must be willing and able to drive a forklift.
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environment (includes checking email while printing labels).
  • Willing to work as a team and help team members and communicate effectively
  • Demonstrates ability to make timely and appropriate decisions based on standards
  • Ability to complete own work with little to no supervision
  • Capability to follow established procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data; concentrate on routine work details amid periodic interruptions.
  • Is open to the ideas, diverse views and opinions of others; offers opinions constructively; helps when needed.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds repeatedly on own.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer 1-3 years’ related work experience (pick and pack) including forklift experience.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes values as demonstrated in personal productivity and quality of work, management of internal/external relationships, actively seeking out and participating in Continuous Improvement practices, and willingness to engage and support team initiatives.
  • Comply with workplace safety procedures
  • Regular and reliable attendance, which includes punctuality and working scheduled overtime, is necessary to meet our commitment to provide quality products and service to our customer.
  • Cross-trained to perform the Pick and Pack responsibilities as needed.
  • Reviews system generated messages and request from the sales department to determine what product can ship to the customer each day.
  • Locate product to ship to customer.
  • Determines the best packaging methods using approved supplies (including spray foam) to ship the product safely without damage.
  • Create labels
  • Stage packed product for shipment.
  • Ensure internal manufacturing orders are received into system before shipping.
  • Receives materials and moves materials to the location that they will be used or stored.
  • Provides weights and dimensions to Customer Service upon request.
  • Process shipments in 4S
  • Responds to questions, both email and verbal, about the shipping status of orders and receipt of material used to fill a pending order.
  • Other duties as assigned.
