The Materials & Operations Coordinator role is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and on-time customer deliveries. This position begins with foundational responsibilities in shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, and purchasing support, with opportunities for growth into purchasing, inventory planning, and production coordination as the employee demonstrates knowledge, consistency, and reliability. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Manufacturing, shipping, inventory, logistics, or purchasing experience highly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Strong communication, both oral and written, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Willingness to grow into additional operational responsibilities
  • Must meet US Person requirement
  • Must have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and ship customer orders according to schedules and company procedures
  • Verify quantities, lot numbers, labels, and shipping documentation for accuracy
  • Receive incoming materials and process inventory transactions accurately
  • Issue materials to production while maintaining inventory accuracy
  • Maintain organized inventory, shipping, and storage areas
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment activities
  • Assist with purchasing and Kanban/par-level inventory systems
  • Coordinate material availability with production and Quality Control teams
  • Assist with inventory counts, audits, and inventory control processes
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Identify and communicate inventory discrepancies or operational concerns
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
