This role is responsible for ensuring employees have the proper training, skills, and tools to work safely and effectively. The supervisor will create and sustain a safe work environment, maintain compliance with industrial workplace safety and health regulations, and identify improvement opportunities for safety, leading or recommending corrective actions. The position also involves managing the employee safety program on an ongoing basis. Key responsibilities include managing and maintaining inventory accuracy and cycle count requirements, completing root cause investigations and corrective actions for inventory discrepancies, and managing excess and obsolete material investigation, corrective action, and disposition aligned with company policy. The supervisor will ensure employees are trained to follow documented inventory and cycle counting procedures and prepare the workforce for quality and finance audits. Process improvements to enhance inventory control metrics will be implemented in cooperation with manufacturing. The role also includes maintaining the quality document file system, effectively managing assets and people to achieve objectives, meeting financial goals (e.g., overtime allowance, variable department expenses), managing the employee payroll system, and ensuring proper utilization and maintenance of fixed assets. Communication, meeting leadership, consistent administration of company policies, maintaining accurate training records, developing individuals and teams for effective operation with minimal supervision, creating an environment for employee growth, administering performance evaluations, and acting as a change agent are also critical aspects of this position.
