Our Supply Chain team plays an important role in supporting patient care by making sure supplies and equipment are in the right place at the right time. Team members help keep hospital departments stocked and organized, ensuring staff have what they need to care for patients. In this fast-paced environment, you’ll work closely with others, respond to day-to-day needs, and help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Attention to detail, teamwork, and a willingness to learn are key to success in this role. From stocking supplies to delivering items and keeping inventory up to date, the team makes a meaningful impact on the overall patient experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, with a commitment to professionalism, reliability, and supporting high-quality healthcare operations.
  • 3+ years of Materials Management experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare supply chain environment, with knowledge of inventory control, purchasing, distribution, and vendor management processes.
  • Experience utilizing inventory management and purchasing systems, including Oracle Fusion or similar platforms, to process orders, maintain accurate records, and support efficient supply chain operations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with nursing personnel, medical staff, vendors, department leaders, and hospital administration.
  • Knowledge of hospital organization and departmental functions, with an understanding of how materials management supports clinical workflows, operational efficiency, and patient care.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, resolve supply challenges, and remain effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across all hospital departments while demonstrating teamwork, accountability, and a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to maintain inventory accuracy, support compliance requirements, and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Support safe, high-quality patient care by ensuring essential supplies are available when needed through accurate inventory management, timely ordering, and proactive resolution of stock shortages.
  • Optimize hospital supply chain efficiency and cost savings by researching products, maintaining HPG contract compliance, evaluating alternatives, and partnering with vendors to secure the best value.
  • Build strong partnerships across the organization by collaborating with nursing staff, physicians, department leaders, and hospital administration to understand needs and deliver effective supply solutions.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and product availability through daily cycle counts, expiration monitoring, inventory adjustments, and proactive identification of supply risks.
  • Protect patient and staff safety by coordinating product recalls, communicating with impacted departments, documenting actions, and supporting replacement product processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in materials management operations by supporting value analysis initiatives, new supply projects, item/vendor additions, and process improvement efforts.
  • Provide dependable supply chain support across hospital departments by cross-training in all Materials Management functions, responding to urgent requests, and ensuring seamless operational coverage.
