We are currently seeking a Materials Warehouse Journeyperson to support operations at a heavy industrial site in Kamloops, BC. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient warehouse operations, material handling, and inventory control in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse or industrial materials handling experience (mining or heavy industry preferred).
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a safety-sensitive, fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills for inventory systems and tracking.
Nice To Haves
- Journeyperson certification or Parts Technician Red Seal.
- Experience working on mining or remote industrial sites.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar inventory systems.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and supplies
- Pick, pack, and issue materials to site operations and maintenance teams
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards
- Support shipping/receiving functions including documentation and tracking
- Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and site teams to ensure material availability
- Follow all site safety procedures and report hazards or incidents promptly
