About The Position

The Materials Management Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the supply chain logistics of materials within the healthcare system, ensuring timely procurement, storage, and distribution of supplies. This role coordinates with various departments to meet their material needs, maintains inventory accuracy, and optimizes supply chain processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 2 year(s) of experience in materials management, inventory control, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 3 year(s) of experience in materials management, with at least 1 year in a healthcare setting.
  • Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and overstock.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Review and process purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Communicate with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Participate in the distribution of materials to various departments.
  • Ensure efficient and timely delivery of supplies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to optimize delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions.
  • Update inventory databases to ensure adequate material supply.
  • Generate reports on inventory status and usage patterns.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols for material handling.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
