About The Position

The Boeing Company Fabrication South Carolina Aerostructures (FSCA) is seeking a Materials Management & Transportation Manager (Level K) to lead our Fulfillment team in Orangeburg, South Carolina. This onsite position will provide oversight & leadership to individual contributors supporting our Tool Control, Hazmat, Warehouse, & Shipping and Receiving across our Orangeburg site. You will be managing a team of production coordinators. This role involves complex data/trend analysis, problem resolution, strategic planning, scheduling and project execution. You will manage KPI performance & support emergent orders and inventory. You will collaborate frequently with multiple business functions & teams to include 777x, 737, 787 Operations/Production, Lean, Quality and Compliance.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course 'Exploring Leadership'
  • 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment
  • 3+ years of Materials Management or Supply Chain experience
  • 1+ years of training or experience using Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Ability to work any shift assigned
  • Ability to work over weekends and holidays as needed
  • Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience as manager or team lead
  • 3+ years of formal/informal leadership experience
  • Experience with the following (or similar industry) systems: CribMaster, Kit Integration and Tracking System (KITS), E-Enabled Tracking and Communication (eTRAC)
  • Experience with safety and quality processes
  • Self-motivated, works well independently
  • Experience operating a forklift
