About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Materials Management and Transportation Manager to join our 737 Supply Chain Fulfillment Final Assembly team in Renton, Washington. This role leads a team supporting enterprise-level initiatives and implementing high-visibility fulfillment-focused projects. The manager develops and executes integrated organizational plans and solutions to enable business objectives, requiring partnership with leaders across the enterprise and active membership in the 737 Supply Chain Fulfillment Final Assembly team. This position involves discovering new opportunities and solutions for business problems through innovative thinking, blending strategic thinking with on-the-ground execution to improve systems, business policies, processes, standard work, and efficiencies for a unified Boeing Supply Chain. The successful candidate will lead teams, understand strategic aspects and initiatives, navigate a complex organization, and demonstrate knowledge of the company and multiple functional subject areas to meet supply chain management goals and customer expectations. Candidates must be able to translate strategic goals into tactical actions understandable to the team. This role is for a Level K Materials Management and Transportation Manager.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in materials management and/or supply chain management
  • 3+ years of experience advising and influencing others to meet quality and safety requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working with senior leaders/executives to communicate strategic plans and objectives
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.)
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
