About The Position

This is an entry-level role where the specialist will be responsible for supporting the goals of the team by owning the flow of parts and materials for external/internal customers. Specialists are responsible for the flow of product through receiving, shipping, and assembly. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills and experience.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent.
1 to 2 years’ experience in an office or shop environment preferred.
Good math skills.
Able to handle multiple tasks; attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
Intermediate understanding of MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and Epicor.
Must possess valid driver’s license from his/her state of residence; forklift certifiable.
Requires occasional lifting and carrying of 50 lbs. or more and standing for extended periods of time.
Moderate physical activity requiring agility and manual dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending as well as lifting or moving objects.

Responsibilities

Using external and internal customer scheduling, communicate and work to daily and weekly plans for shipping to customers and suppliers.
Ensure proper packing of parts being shipped.
Prepare required shipping forms, assemble boxes, create packing and/or part labels, pack cartons, and adhere packing slips/labels to cartons.
Communicate with authorized freight companies to arrange the pick-up of shipments.
Maintain inventory and order materials needed for the shipping area.
Receive all material and deliveries; check deliveries for damage before signing receipt of goods.
Verify merchandise received against the packing slip and purchase order.
Deliver items to the appropriate personnel.
Create and execute purchase orders for raw material and subcontract services.
Release material to the shop.
Maintain accurate inventory counts.
Take ownership of the area and all duties in a way that prioritizes the needs of customers (internal and external), demonstrates accuracy, efficiency, and order, enables improvement (cost, efficiency, accuracy), and makes sure communication is happening to customers and suppliers.
