Requirements

A Materials and Logistics Professional, with a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics, inventory optimization and operational efficiency.
An Experienced leader with strong leadership capabilities

5+ years of experience in materials management, warehousing, inventory control, logistics, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience, with a proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and develop employees.
Strong knowledge of material management, inventory control, material planning, and production support processes.
Experience optimizing material flow and driving operational improvements in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, inventory transaction management, and inventory accuracy best practices (SAP experience considered an asset).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
Experience developing, monitoring, and improving operational KPIs and performance metrics.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet challenging deadlines.
Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, continuous learning, and customer satisfaction.
Experience working within ISO or other structured quality management systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Candidates must be able to apply for registration which entails being willing to provide consent to a Controlled Goods security assessment either at time of hire or at another time while employed with Moog Focal and be either a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident in Canada.

SAP experience considered an asset
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Materials & Logistics team, fostering a safe, accountable, and high-performing work environment through coaching, training, and performance management.
Oversee all material handling, warehousing, shipping, receiving, and internal logistics activities to ensure uninterrupted support of production and customer requirements.
Ensure materials are received, stored, replenished, and delivered efficiently to support production schedules and operational priorities.
Partner with Production, Planning, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to prioritize material requirements, resolve issues, and support business objectives.
Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through effective inventory control practices, cycle counting, transaction management, and variance resolution.
Monitor and drive key performance indicators related to inventory accuracy, material availability, productivity, service levels, and operational performance.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on optimizing material flow, warehouse utilization, inventory management, and overall operational efficiency.
Develop and maintain standard work, process documentation, and visual controls to support consistency, compliance, and best practices.
Manage departmental resources, including workforce planning, scheduling, equipment, and capacity requirements, to meet operational demands.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
