About The Position

Join a dynamic laboratory environment supporting the testing and analysis of automotive HVAC and engine cooling components. This role is responsible for advanced measurement activities, metallographic sample preparation, chemical, physical, and mechanical testing, as well as corrosion laboratory support. The position works closely with engineering teams to execute test plans, document results, and contribute to special projects while ensuring compliance with laboratory procedures and quality standards. Ideal candidates have hands-on laboratory experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as a general lab technician.
  • Proficiency with PC Based softwares such as MS Windows/Office.
  • Effective interpersonal skills. Must work and communicate well with co-workers.

Responsibilities

  • Operates in the day-to-day work under the Laboratory Scope and Capabilities. This includes work with multiple test bench operations, basic metallographic work including sample cleaning, sectioning, mounting, polishing and imaging.
  • Operates and maintains physical testing, metallographic preparation, and support equipment in the laboratory including specialized measuring and testing equipment (surface finish, fatigue testers, tensile tests, ovens), abrasive cut-off saws, mounting presses, Brinell and Rockwell hardness testers, micro hardness tester, manual and automatic metallographic polishing machines, chemicals, and cleaning processes.
  • Works with other staff members on activities such as inventories and ordering routine laboratory supplies including hardness test blocks, chemicals, polishing supplies, and other lab supplies.
  • To Observe consistency in test data, interpret basic results and report any irregularities to Corrosion or Material engineers.
  • Must keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Other duties and responsabilities may be required.
