About The Position

We are hiring a Materials & Inventory Specialist in San Antonio, TX, to support warehouse operations, inventory control, material management, and production support activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires experience with inventory accuracy, material accountability, warehouse logistics, production scheduling support, and material tracking systems to ensure materials and hardware are available to meet operational requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of warehouse inventory, material control, logistics, or inventory management experience with responsibility for parts accuracy and accountability.
  • Computer proficiency and experience using inventory systems, warehouse management systems, ERP systems, or related software applications.
  • Current forklift certification or the ability to obtain a forklift license.
  • Experience supporting inventory control, material tracking, warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or production support functions.
  • Ability to analyze inventory requirements, material availability, and production support needs.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds independently; lifts exceeding 35 pounds require a two-person lift.
  • Ability to work across multiple shifts and operational environments as required.

Responsibilities

  • Route materials to designated storage locations in accordance with established storage and inventory control procedures.
  • Conduct inventory audits of stored materials and report damage, deterioration, shortages, or discrepancies.
  • Remove issues, package, and prepare materials for shipment to support production and operational requirements.
  • Review and analyze production scheduling requirements to ensure materials, parts, and hardware are available to meet production schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material availability to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Identify, investigate, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies, material shortages, and supply chain issues while maintaining quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
  • Perform inventory tracking, material accountability, warehouse management, and configuration control activities.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of material requirements, inventory levels, scheduling concerns, and configuration management issues as needed.
  • Order parts, tools, materials, and equipment required to support production and operational needs.
  • Maintain compliance with safety requirements, tool control procedures, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention programs, inventory control standards, housekeeping requirements, and company policies.
  • Perform duties safely while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Support operations across all shifts and varying work environments as required.
  • Perform additional inventory, logistics, and material management duties as assigned.
