Idaho Power — located in vibrant McCall, Idaho — is looking for a seasonal Materials Handler to join our Supply Chain team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. What does a Materials Handler do for us? With limited supervision, they receive, store, retrieve, and issue electrical utility materials, tools, supplies, and equipment. Additional duties include: Using a computerized Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to accurately record all materials movement transactions Developing and maintaining indoor and outdoor storage areas Maintaining organization, cleanliness and 5S Standards within facility and daily workspace Ensuring a safe working environment through regular safety inspections and cleaning and maintenance of all storage and work areas and equipment Working in a team-oriented environment with high focus on customer satisfaction Performing work in both a warehouse and yard environment, which involves working with chemicals, equipment, hand and power tools, and material that requires special handling, storage, and packaging due to exposure to potential environmental and safety hazards In addition to the meaningful work we do, we offer work-life balance, competitive pay, and both a 401k employer-match and a pension plan, making Idaho Power one of the best employers in the state.

Requirements

Knowledge of: Proper and safe handling, loading/unloading, moving, storing, and shipping of materials
Safe use of hand tools and equipment
ERP system experience
General warehousing including 5S Lean standards
Skills in: Basic PC operations, including use of Microsoft Office products
Effective oral and written communication
Basic math
Problem solving and researching
Ability to: Maintain neat, accurate, and legible records
Follow oral and written instructions
Perform moderately heavy manual labor while focusing on safety
Education: High school diploma or GED
Experience: 3 years of materials handling experience, including forklift utilization and inventory management software system experience
Licenses & Certifications: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position
Must obtain First Aid/CPR card within 30 days
Idaho Power forklift certification within 30 days
Requires limited overnight travel to other facilities within the Company warehouse network and be available for after-hours on call emergency response.
Job requires the employee to attend required safety trainings and to obtain and wear company provided and approved safety footwear and PPE.
