The Materials Handler will be responsible for managing the workflow of inventory from a secured area to the production floor. They will perform work under direct supervision of the Inventory Supervisor. This position is based out of our Macon, GA plant.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office a plus.
  • Must have physical strength and ability to lift up to 40 pounds and carry such a weight for 100 feet.
  • Must have good visual ability for close-up observations
  • Must have good depth perception and ability to distinguish different colors.
  • Must have hearing sufficient to hear verbal and audible signals at a moderate distance.
  • Must be conditioned to sustain work in a manufacturing environment that ranges in temperature from 55oF to 95oF.
  • High School or equivalent
  • Prior materials handling, manufacturing, or inventory management is preferred, but required
  • Must have a valid Georgia State Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
  • Must have writing ability sufficient to write correspondence.
  • Must have good communication skills to work cooperatively with company employees.
  • Employees are required upon hire to pass a physical and drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Pull items on job orders from inventory to staging area using a barcode scanner.
  • Stock received items to the shelves.
  • Create stock locations for new inventory items.
  • Keep inventory orderly.
  • Generate serially controlled barcode labels and apply to inbound stock.
  • Support Physical and Cycle Counting activities.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to Chem-Aqua Safety Policy.
  • Complete special tasks set forth by the Inventory Supervisor.
