Materials Handler
About The Position
This role is responsible for various warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, goods receipt, documentation, issue out, and escalations/resolutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-volume, automotive, or start-up environments and be able to evaluate and improve operational processes. Experience in a high-velocity environment, managing multiple priorities, and utilizing lean methodologies for continuous improvement is essential. Familiarity with ERP or WMS systems and forklift operation is required. Experience with dangerous goods handling is a plus.
Requirements
- 1-3 years relevant experience in warehouse operations
- High volume, automotive or start-up experience strongly preferred
- Ability to evaluate current operational processes, highlight gaps, and implement solutions to improve overall operational readiness
- Experience executing operations in a high velocity environment
- Able to track multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong continuous improvement skills utilizing lean methodologies
- Experience in a common ERP or WMS systems, such as SAP, Oracle, etc.
- Forklift experience a must
- High school diploma required
