About The Position

This role is responsible for moving finished goods and raw materials to and from production lines safely. The shift is Monday - Friday from 3 PM - 11 PM. The Materials Handler assists the Team Lead on the production line by moving finished good products from the production Line to the shipping area, and moving raw materials to the production line efficiently while maintaining Environmental, Health, Safety, Quality, and Production standards. This role promotes and follows all EHS and Quality guidelines and procedures, performs minor set-ups, cleaning, and general operation of the mobile equipment used, and reports production on every pallet. The employee must possess the mandatory ability to react and move quickly in case of emergency. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus/accommodate.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment; preferably automotive or bottling and packaging.
  • Must be able to speak, understand, read, and write English.
  • Must have the ability to perform simple math calculations.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be certified to drive all types of forklifts.

Responsibilities

  • Move finish goods and raw materials from and to the production lines safely.
  • Assist the Team Lead on the production line by moving finished good products from the production Line to the shipping area, and moving raw materials to the production line efficiently while maintaining Environmental, Health, Safety, Quality, and Production standards.
  • Promote and follow all EHS and Quality guidelines and procedures.
  • Perform minor set-ups, cleaning, and general operation of the mobile equipment used.
  • Report production on every pallet.
  • Recommend safety improvements as needed.
  • Ensure all housekeeping and equipment standards are met.
  • Assist in training temporary workers to pick/place/pack/palletize.
  • Support warehouse lead on receiving materials.
  • Support planning area on stock counts and moving materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.
