About The Position

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client. This role involves inspecting incoming freight, documenting damage, resolving claims, and managing inbound shipments within ERP systems. The Materials Handler will maintain accurate inventory records, conduct cycle counts and physical inventories, and monitor inventory levels, communicating any shortages to stakeholders. Responsibilities also include operating material handling equipment, ensuring proper FIFO practices and material identification, accurately issuing materials, and verifying documentation and certifications for incoming materials. The role requires coordination with various internal teams to ensure timely delivery, support for kitting, shipping, receiving, and process improvement initiatives, and the delivery of materials to internal and external manufacturing locations. Maintaining organization and accuracy in all material handling processes is crucial.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
2+ years of experience in a supply chain or materials environment
Experience with inventory systems (Oracle, Apriso preferred)
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and move heavier loads using equipment
Valid Driver's License
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Nice To Haves

Experience in aerospace or manufacturing environments
Experience working with freight carriers (FedEx, UPS, trucking companies, etc.)
Forklift experience (training provided if needed)

Responsibilities

Inspect incoming freight, document damage, and resolve claims
Receive and process inbound shipments in ERP systems

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment
Ensure proper FIFO practices and material identification
Accurately issue materials and complete inventory transactions
Verify documentation and certifications for incoming materials
Coordinate with Procurement, Production Control, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery
Support kitting, shipping, receiving, and process improvement initiatives
Deliver materials to internal and external manufacturing locations
Maintain organization and accuracy in all material handling processes
