About The Position

Champion Home Builders, Inc. is seeking to hire a Material Handler to join their team in the York, NE region. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing hand tools, materials, and equipment. The Material Handler will issue tools and equipment to employees, maintain records of issued and returned items, and locate lost or misplaced tools. They will also prepare inventory reports, receive and store incoming supplies, and notify supervisors of shortages. Additionally, the role involves issuing tools, equipment, and supplies, reporting tool damage, and performing repairs, servicing, and lubrication of tools and equipment. Marking and identifying tools and equipment, as well as performing other temporary duties as assigned, are also part of the responsibilities. The FLSA status for this position is Non-exempt.

  • High school education or GED; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Issues tools and equipment to employees and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned.
  • Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment.
  • Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment.
  • Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and supplies, and notifies supervisor of inventory shortages.
  • Issues tools, equipment, and supplies and reports tool damage to supervisors.
  • Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment.
  • Marks and identifies tools and equipment.
  • Is assigned to perform other temporary duties on a regular basis.
