About The Position

The Materials Handler Assembly Department transports supplies, parts, and product as required in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining accurate inventory counts and documentation. This role involves coordinating with supervisors and leads to ensure timely set-ups, organizing and storing parts, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The position requires operating a forklift and accurately completing transactions in Oracle.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate a forklift and be forklift certified.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (read, speak and understand).
  • Ability to prioritize work with minimal direction.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Submit to a visual acuity exam.
  • Lift up to 30 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Push/pull up to 25 lbs.
  • Walk, stand, bend, twist/turn, reach overhead and grasp tools as necessary.
  • Operate forklift for long periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Supervisor/Lead to ensure timely set-ups in order to avoid or minimize down-time.
  • Organize, store, and transport parts and supplies as needed and complete all corresponding paperwork. (Routers, tags with proper part numbers, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate inventory.
  • Report shortages/overages and supply needs to Supervisor.
  • Operate forklift.
  • Complete all transactions within Oracle accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist Operators in delivering parts in order to maximize department efficiency.
  • Remove and distribute empty pallets and baskets as needed.
  • Place parts in proper location and clearly write on router.
