About The Position

The Materials Handler Assembly Department transports supplies, parts, and product as required in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining accurate inventory counts and documentation. This role involves coordinating with supervisors and leads to ensure timely set-ups, organizing and storing parts, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The position requires operating a forklift and accurately completing transactions in Oracle.

Requirements

Ability to operate a forklift and be forklift certified.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to effectively communicate in English (read, speak and understand).
Ability to prioritize work with minimal direction.
Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and time management skills.
Submit to a visual acuity exam.
Lift up to 30 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
Push/pull up to 25 lbs.
Walk, stand, bend, twist/turn, reach overhead and grasp tools as necessary.
Operate forklift for long periods.

Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with Supervisor/Lead to ensure timely set-ups in order to avoid or minimize down-time.
Organize, store, and transport parts and supplies as needed and complete all corresponding paperwork. (Routers, tags with proper part numbers, etc.)
Maintain accurate inventory.
Report shortages/overages and supply needs to Supervisor.
Operate forklift.
Complete all transactions within Oracle accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist Operators in delivering parts in order to maximize department efficiency.
Remove and distribute empty pallets and baskets as needed.
Place parts in proper location and clearly write on router.
