About The Position

This position is responsible for independently performing material handling, shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks in a warehouse environment. The Material Handler II operates powered industrial equipment, uses warehouse systems accurately, and supports daily operations by ensuring the safe, timely, and accurate movement of product. This is a 1st shift position, Monday to Friday (6:00 am - 2:30 pm).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse or material handling environment.
  • Forklift experience and certification required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of scanners and warehouse systems.
  • Ability to work from 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Monday – Friday), with overtime and occasional weekends as needed.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The employee must be able to be present and walk through an active construction site in various weather conditions.
  • Be able to follow and use specific job site safety equipment and procedures.
  • Must be able to handle various company products such as steel products, tools, and construction chemicals while following proper safety guidelines established by the company.
  • Ability to hear safety noises in the facility as well.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, and Ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma/GED, preferred
  • Experience with Navision or similar ERP/warehouse management systems, preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and process customer orders accurately within established productivity standards.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments safely and efficiently.
  • Replenish inventory within racking locations to support order flow.
  • Stage pallets and materials for picking, shipping, and production.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment, including reach truck, sit-down forklift, and power walkie, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Use scanners and warehouse management systems to complete inventory transactions accurately.
  • Participate in scheduled cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy efforts.
  • Perform assigned audit and quality checks independently to ensure orders and inventory are accurate.
  • Support production, shipping, and receiving operations as needed to meet daily business needs.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in accordance with facility standards.
  • Follow all ITW safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for process or efficiency improvements.
  • Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
