About The Position

Under the direct supervision of department managers, the Materials Handler provides superior customer service and performs shipping, receiving, staging, and delivery of packages. The role also handles inventory control functions, including ordering, picking, replenishing, and delivering medical supplies. Responsibilities include retrieving, cleaning, and delivering equipment, as well as traction and trapeze setup. The Materials Handler enters data using computers and handheld devices, including the Infor computerized inventory control system and Innertrack. The role requires strong communication skills and knowledge of medical supplies, and includes responding to assigned user requests by phone and email.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• At least 3 years of work experience in retail, warehouse, or logistics roles, preferably in healthcare materials management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Computer literacy, including the ability to use email, a web browser, and handheld devices such as phones or tablets.
• Knowledge of medical supplies.

Nice To Haves

• Five or more years of work experience in retail, warehouse, or logistics roles is preferred.
• New York State driver's license preferred.
