About The Position

Coordinates, directs and oversees the day-to-day operational activities and functions within the Areas Assigned to meet the supply needs of the Hospital; maintains a high level of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency by responding in a pro-active manner to customer/staff/vendor inquiries. This job adheres to the ethical and legal standards and behavioral expectations as set forth in the code of business conduct and company policies. As a component of job responsibilities, employees may have access to covered information, cardholder data, or other confidential customer information that must be protected at all times. In connection with this, all employees must comply with both the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) as described in the Notice of Privacy Practices and Privacy Policies and Procedures as well as all data security guidelines established within the Company’s Handbook of Privacy Policies and Practices and Information Security Policy. This includes but is not limited to adherence to applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations as well as company policies and training requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years’ materials handling experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of supply chain principles, warehousing and inventory control.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Inventory control certification.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates staff and available resources consistent with organizational policies, procedures and standards, audit and regulatory requirements and sound business practice. (40%)
  • Develops and maintains a positive, professional relationship with department staff, customers and support departments to ensure open lines of communication; understands customer needs, identifies and resolves issues, performs customer in-service, education, and improvement planning. (40%)
  • Staff development. (5%)
  • Adheres to policies, procedures, rules and regulations of the hospital as well as regulatory bodies. (5%)
  • Processes customer inquiries. (10%)
  • Troubleshoots and functions with autonomy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
