About The Position

Maintain Equipment and Materials for Oklahoma City Donor Services and a resource for the OBI System.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good cognitive skills such as deductive reasoning and logical thinking
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, and Access
  • Flexibility to work unscheduled or long hours in response to a crisis or special blood need
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility
  • Excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventories, calibration and QC logs, present status, for OKC Mobile equipment (providing support for other locations), including, but not limited to the following: Automated Collections Machines, Digital Scales, Heat Sealers, Bed Scales, Blood Pressure Machines, Thermometers, Blood Pressure Cuffs, Stainless Steel QC Weights, Sandbag QC Weights, Sterile Connection Devices, Hygrometers, Emergency Medical Boxes and Reaction kits.
  • Provide support to all locations for Donor Services equipment records in iMaint.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Department and Vehicle Fleet for the preventive maintenance, repair, and daily scheduling of OKC mobile vehicles.
  • Maintain a relationship between OBI and outside businesses that sell, repair, or calibrate Donor Services equipment.
  • Coordinate in-house or outside repairs of Donor Service equipment.
  • Obtain annual or periodic calibrations of all Donor Services equipment.
  • Assist the Supply Dept. to anticipate special needs and help prevent supply shortfalls throughout the year.
  • Responsible for purchasing some types of equipment or supplies, system-wide, for specific needs.
  • Perform validation of new equipment for OKC Mobiles and manufacture sand weights for the system, as needed
  • Act as a resource with procedures involving the use, upkeep, repair, or calibration of new or existing equipment.
  • Direct supervision of Mobile Equipment Specialist and Mobile Supply Clerk
  • Coordinate delivery of equipment supplies or personnel to mobile drives, if needed.
  • Share On-Call for Northgate Supply CMS with Director, Mobile Quality Assurance & Operational Support, or designee
  • Prepare and file CMS/Rees charts and records for Northgate Supply Storage area.
  • Deliver equipment and supplies to mobile blood drives, as needed
  • Review and approval of OKC Mobile payroll detail
  • Repair equipment (sandbags, blood pressure cuffs, etc.) as needed
  • Coordinate with Volunteer Services for volunteers to label blood bags
