Requirements

Minimum 2 years hauling materials and equipment – truck driving experience in city limits.
Must have class 5 Drivers Licence.
Proven care and diligence with good safety record.
Applicants must have a current clean 5 years Driver’s Abstract in good standing with minimal demerits.
Understanding of legislation and regulations in transportation.
Valid Driver’s License and Driver’s abstract in good standing.
Minimum 2000 hours experience in similar or same equipment.
This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to Primary’s Alcohol and Drug Policy which includes pre-employment testing.
Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time of application.

Planning skills for scheduling and project documentation.

Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

Perform pre-trip Inspections: check oil, fluid levels, tires, lights, brakes, etc.
Complete checklist and submit daily.
Check that truck is kept in optimum operating condition by reporting all repair requirements to Fleet Mechanic without delay.
Drive and Operate 1-ton flat bed truck
Drive and operate vehicle with bumper pull trailer
Exercise reasonable care in truck operation.
Adhere to all applicable safety rules and regulations.
Obtain job assignment, address and location and confirm best routing to designated areas.
Haul trash material to landfill.
Disposing of materials: dump in designated area, clean vehicle after dumping when necessary.
Physically capable to load equipment and tooling by hand (fence panels, signage, etc.)
Submit daily activity report, haul tickets and purchase receipts.
Pick up and Haul materials and aggregate from suppliers to job sites.
Other duties as required.
