About The Position

Waltonen Engineering is seeking a Materials Engineer to provide engineering analysis and support for military vehicles. The role involves preparing plans with detailed drawings and project specifications, designing and executing engineering solutions, developing engineering calculations, diagrams, and technical reports, and completing necessary technical and regulatory documents. The engineer will also be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time and presenting analysis results and project solutions to various stakeholders.

Requirements

Specific experience in materials engineering
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree
At least 3 – 5 years related work experience
Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication, including creating and delivering presentations
Advanced skills in critical software applications, such as Microsoft Office and CAD
Expertise in data and problem analysis, creative problem solving and design thinking
Only United States Citizens can be considered
Must possess or be able to obtain security clearance
All employees are required to work within the confines and responsibilities of the quality system.

Nice To Haves

Experience in vehicle component and/or systems experience preferred
Experience with NX or Creo preferred but not mandatory
Previous experience with defense/military vehicles preferred but not mandatory

Responsibilities
