Requirements

  • Individual must have a strong knowledge of materials and material science.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to prioritize own work and handle multiple project/tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be able to connect across multiple sites with multiple cultures.
  • Bachelor’s degree (metallurgy, materials engineering, or material science) from four-year college or university; with at least three months of related, prior experience.

Responsibilities

  • Sustains and retains internal material specifications.
  • Review contracts to assist in proper factory flow done for material requirements.
  • Determine proper material and NDT requirements for applicable parts and assist in helping place information on drawings.
  • Contribute to failure analysis and product issues dealing with materials
  • Help produce new material processes
  • Assist in determining material disposition and rework operations for material issues.
