About The Position

The Materials Buyer owns day-to-day purchasing across raw materials, packaging, marketing materials, shipping materials, and hard goods for RYZE’s co-manufacturer and distribution network. This role manages reordering and the full purchase order lifecycle, resolves discrepancies and daily PO issues, and escalates decisions or supply risks to the Purchasing Manager. The Buyer works with suppliers and internal teams to coordinate first-time POs, ensure orders are delivered on time, maintain accurate NetSuite purchase order and transfer order statuses, and confirm required QA approvals and testing are completed before shipments are released. The role also maintains supplier relationships, monitors pricing adherence and supplier performance, and reports on open POs, aging, discrepancies, and delivery and quality metrics.

  • Hands-on purchasing experience placing POs, managing reorders, resolving discrepancies, and personally managing supplier follow-up.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues independently and recognize when to escalate.
  • Analytical skills and the ability to build and maintain open PO trackers and supplier performance dashboards.
  • Experience using ERP systems in a purchasing capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
