About The Position

Our client, an Energy Services company, is seeking an Intermediate Materials - Buyer - Direct for its Austin, Texas location. The role supports manufacturing by ensuring continuity of supply, executing purchasing activities, managing supplier and cross-functional issues, and contributing to purchasing process improvements. The buyer also manages assigned purchasing projects and serves as a trainer for department purchasing activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–4 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure supply continuity to enable manufacturing with speed and quality.
• Execute and manage supplier pull-ins and push-outs to meet MRP demand.
• Lead cross-functional teams to resolve supply issues with stakeholders including engineering, manufacturing, Program Managers, and Supplier Account Management.
• Drive purchasing activities to obtain the lowest cost while considering quality, source reliability, and urgency of need.
• Lead inventory and E&Z reduction efforts.
• Manage and lead assigned purchasing projects, including cost, schedule, and scope as required.
• Manage complex and sensitive information with supplier leadership teams and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to purchasing process improvement within the team.
• Act as a trainer for department purchasing activities.
