About The Position
The PC&L Associate is responsible for loading and unloading materials to and from production lines, storage areas, and trailers. The operator is responsible for following the job responsibilities within the plant and/or warehouse while operating in a fast-paced environment. This includes loading product, unloading product, receiving product, shipping product, moving materials at elevated heights, and issuing material using system transactions.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- 3 months of Powered Industrial Truck experience required
- Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems preferred
- Experience in fast paced industrial lean environment preferred
- Knowledge of SAP Inventory software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Nice To Haves
- Active Forklift Certification License preferred
Responsibilities
- Safely perform all tasks assigned by Leadership including all positions within the Physical Logistics department.
- Safely operate all equipment to which the individual is certified (ex): Sit-down Forklifts, Stand Up Lifts (Both Reach and Pacer), Tuggers, Electric Jacks.
- Read and understand work instructions and/or follow oral instructions to execute the material flow requirements.
- Manually load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves on foot and by hand as required.
- Accurately and timely enter materials transactional information into SAP and other systems as required.
- Read electronic and manual bill of materials, pull sheets, pick sheets to retrieve and deliver necessary materials for operations.
- Support 5S / Housekeeping activities as required.
- Use appropriate deviation areas, hold tags, to process defective parts through nonconforming material procedure.
- Load/Unload materials into trailers adhering to Dock Safety Protocol.
- Meet physical logistics KPI’s, Associate Engagement and Teamwork.
- Adherence to FIFO standards throughout all storage areas and material flow points.
- Wear all required PPE and follow box cutting safety protocols.
