We are actively seeking qualified candidates for the Materials Associate position to join our award-winning team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and general safety policies.
  • Ability to operate various types of vehicles/equipment and pass appropriate certification courses and maintain certification (such as Forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.
  • Must be able to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of working in environments with dust, noise and fluctuating temperatures, including potential for seasonal heat/cold.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree.
  • 3+ years of related experience – Trade experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating and participating in the receipt, storage, loading, unloading, delivery, and inventory items, supplies, and equipment.
  • Verify stock and identify losses.
  • Maintain the organized warehouse layout.
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment.
  • Represent our Company in a professional, safe, and efficient manner.
  • Participate in physical inventory to verify stock and control reporting to identify losses.
  • Load delivery vehicles to ensure that all items and supplies are properly secured.
  • Load, unload, prepare, sort and organize material, tools and various other items.
  • Maintain and clean warehouse facilities to keep them in an orderly, clean, and safe condition.
  • Adhere to safety practices and courteous behavior while in the warehouse, and operating company equipment.
  • Prepare orders by pulling them from stock to meet outbound requirements.
  • Receive deliveries of items and ensure specifications, quantity, and quality of orders are correct and/or inspects items for damage before signing to accept responsibility for the material.
  • Stock equipment and supplies to maintain required inventory levels.
  • Interpret inventory, delivery, and safety metrics to streamline warehouse processes and ensure best practices are being followed.
  • Maintain documentation when items are taken from/returned to inventory.
  • Scan incoming shipments to ensure proper inventory tracking.
  • Record and track inventory data using automated systems.
  • Partner with Warehouse Manager to evaluate inventory levels to proactively order low stock.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
