The Materials Associate is responsible for processing transactions accurately and timely related to the receiving of physical goods from suppliers, returned goods from customer departments, stock replenishments, and the filling of customer orders. This role utilizes a management system, PC, and RF scanner technologies for transaction processing. The associate will review and verify all documentation for thoroughness and accuracy, operate powered and non-powered equipment safely, and transport and store goods to prevent damage. Responsibilities include supervising the receiving and distribution of equipment and supplies, ensuring secure handling and storage, removing non-functional items, and maintaining clean and orderly working and storage areas. The position requires adherence to safety regulations, including those from the department, the System, and OSHA, and performing good housekeeping. A daily inspection checklist for powered equipment may be required.
