PURPOSE AND SCOPE Ensure all truck shipments are properly released, packaged, and shipped per promise date and coordinate shipping releases with other Rite-Hite Corporations. Coordinate all receipts of inventory.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) along with at least one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Forklift Drivers Certificate required.

Responsibilities

  • Load truck shipments with forklift. Do this by determining space requirements and appropriate position of shipment in trucks, by inspecting loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and by sealing truck doors prior to departure.
  • Serve as primary contact for carriers and internal Customer Service Representatives regarding product delivery.
  • Coordinate all product delivery for truck shipments by producing and reviewing shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, packing slips and other records to determine shipping priorities and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules. This includes posting of shipments.
  • Coordinate all receipts of inventory by unloading trucks, reviewing packing slips for proper purchase order number, part number, quantity, and post receipt of product in computer.
  • Properly store inventory and communicate to system proper location and quantity.
  • Perform material transfers and process the proper paperwork.
  • Perform cycle counts, resolve discrepancies, and update the computer system accordingly.
  • Manage outside inventory while ensuring proper inventory storage levels and safe housekeeping practices.
  • Provide on-the-job training for employees as required.
  • Loads materials into proper vehicles.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, verifies receiving slip accuracy and shipment quality, rejects damages items, records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Records factors causing goods to be returned.
  • Process posting transactions for Parts and Production Materials Department.
  • Pull and pack parts per pick slips to ship per shipping process.
  • Create shipping label from pick slip into Worldship.
