About The Position

At Cleveland Clinic Health System, the Materials Assistant at Marymount Hospital in Garfield Heights is responsible for the replenishment of supplies, linen, and materials. This role utilizes inventory management system tools to ensure products are promptly in place. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of medical supplies.
• Operate pallet jack
• Lift up to 70 pounds
• Push/Pull loaded skids of material
• Must have normal or corrected vision
• Be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person
• Must have own transportation due to travel to multiple sites.
• Comply with influenza prevention program, which will include obtaining an influenza vaccination on an annual basis or obtaining an approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the proper and appropriate professional and ethical relationship with vendor representatives, conducts business according to established principles and guidelines.
• Use iPad/Wavemark to order and stock medical supplies for a variety of nursing units
• Maintain correct par levels, check for expired products
• Communicate with clinical staff in situations of shortages, usage, back orders, sub products, new conversions
• Receiving shipments into Oracle or RF Smart.
• Process UPS/Fedex inbound and outbound shipments.
• Manage dock operations – interact with different carriers to ensure all trucks are unloaded in a timely manner
• Make internal deliveries
• Track INR
• Complete cycle counts – storeroom
• Complete daily pick sheets.
• Manage STAT supply requests for the entire hospital
