About The Position

Materials and Planning is responsible for developing production and supply plans that account for forecasts, material availability, and manufacturing capacity. The role identifies and maintains appropriate planning parameters in ERP systems to optimize subassembly production and raw-material supply plans. It may also provide materials to manufacturing areas based on planned production schedules and arrange the shipment of finished goods to distribution centers using material-handling equipment, in support of management policies for customer delivery and inventory levels.

Requirements

• Experience in materials planning and inventory management, including responding to demand and identifying shortages or excess.
• Experience using an ERP/MRP system, such as SAP, for material and inventory planning.
• Customer-focused mindset and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop production and supply plans that account for forecasts, material availability, and manufacturing capacity.
• Identify and maintain appropriate planning parameters in ERP systems to optimize subassembly production and raw-material supply plans.
• Identify material shortages or excess and respond to demand.
• Provide materials to manufacturing areas according to planned production schedules, as needed.
• Ship finished goods to distribution centers using material-handling equipment, as needed, while supporting customer delivery and inventory-level policies.
