About The Position

SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a Materials and Manufacturing Researcher to support our Aberdeen Research Operation. You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community. This role involves conducting research on armor materials for protection systems, advanced weapon systems, and materials processing at various deformation rates and scales. The position also includes performing multi-scale advanced materials modeling, recommending research collaborations, coordinating laboratory supplies and equipment, and presenting research findings.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physical Science related field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
Experience working in a research environment (educational experience allowable)
Experience in writing proposals, reports, technical program summaries, PowerPoint presentations, and journal publications

Responsibilities

Conduct armor materials research for protection systems, to include manned and unmanned systems as well as Soldier protection systems.
Conduct materials and concepts research for advanced weapon systems.
Conduct materials and processing research at small and high deformation rates/scales.
Conduct multi-scale advanced materials modeling.
Recommend courses of action for internal and external Government research collaborations.
Coordinate, prepare, and maintain supplies, materials, and equipment for use at laboratories.
Present research projects at technical meetings and conferences.
Prepare presentations and written documents summarizing efforts.
