About The Position

Vertiv Corporation in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a Materials Analyst. This role is responsible for managing the materials planning and inventory control processes of a company, ensuring the availability of the right materials at the right time to meet production needs. This role requires an individual with strong analytical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Materials Analyst must be able to identify and resolve potential issues and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure business objectives are met.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify potential issues and develop solutions
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules and material requirements to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve potential supply chain issues
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal levels are maintained while minimizing excess inventory
  • Collaborate with suppliers to manage material orders, delivery schedules, and quality requirements
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust material orders to ensure on-time delivery and minimize production disruptions
  • Develop and maintain key performance metrics to evaluate and improve materials planning processes
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met
  • Analyze data to identify trends and patterns that can inform inventory and materials planning decisions
