About The Position

Oakwood Group, a family-owned automotive supplier since 1945, is looking for a Materials Analyst to join their team in Taylor, MI. The company values teamwork, respect, and creativity. The Materials Analyst will play a key role in strengthening supply chain performance and supporting cross-functional projects.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience in scheduling, logistics, purchasing, or supply chain management within a Tier 1/Tier 2 automotive supplier environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (IQMS preferred) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in a business-related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing experience considered.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and resolving ERP issues tied to BOMs, scheduling, logistics, and reporting.
  • Leading process improvement initiatives across scheduling, customer service, logistics, and inventory.
  • Documenting and promoting best practices, such as safety stock optimization.
  • Supporting vendor EDI implementation and other cross-functional initiatives.
  • Assisting with customer-driven projects such as program launches, balance-outs, and engineering changes.
  • Serving as a central point of communication between MP&L, engineering, operations, IT, finance, purchasing, customers, and suppliers.
  • Training team members and driving cost reduction and efficiency initiatives.
