About The Position

The Materials Analyst is responsible for ensuring the on-time delivery of customer orders and the acquisition of materials. This role involves optimizing freight and inventories, implementing production scheduling, logistics, and inventory control processes to guarantee material availability for uninterrupted production flow according to delivery schedules, while maintaining minimal inventories. The analyst will also select, motivate, train, and ensure the development of a competent department and materials handling staff. They will anticipate and resolve problems with short-term and permanent corrective actions, assist with warehouse layout and execution, and perform daily walks to verify material storage locations. Additionally, the role involves assisting with the management of economical inbound/outbound transportation routes, seeking opportunities for shipment consolidation, milk runs, and warehouse consolidation and distribution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Level Degree in Supply Chain, Business Admin, Finance or similar. Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
  • 1 -3 Minimum Years of Experience.
  • Less Than 1 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
  • Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.

  • Ability to maintain predictable and regular attendance, arrive to designated location on time, or be at assigned location ready to work for assignment (plant, corporate office, or remote).
  • Fluency with Reading, Writing, Speaking English.
