About The Position

Eurofins EAG Laboratories is seeking a Materials Analyst to join its Advanced Microscopy team in Phoenix, Arizona, as part of the specialized Dual Beam (SEM-FIB) group. This hands-on role supports advanced materials and semiconductor analysis for clients across multiple industries. The work centers on preparing site-specific TEM samples using Dual Beam FIB tools and producing quality, timely results for client projects involving failure analysis and materials characterization. The successful candidate will be a strong technical contributor who enjoys working directly with advanced instrumentation and collaborating in a fast-paced laboratory. The position supports defense-related work and is subject to ITAR regulations; applicants must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents. The schedule is 5 p.m.–2 a.m., either Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday, with a 10% night-shift differential. The role offers extensive hands-on tool time and exposure to advanced materials and semiconductor technologies. The team emphasizes technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The position requires prolonged computer or laboratory-equipment use and substantial stationary work, along with the ability to communicate and complete tasks independently in a deadline-driven workflow. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

  • M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering or a related field, or equivalent industry experience; the role is structured for BS-to-MS-level candidates or equivalent industry backgrounds and is not aligned with PhD-level graduates.
  • Hands-on experience operating Dual Beam FIB-SEM systems, or strong academic or early-industry exposure demonstrating the ability to independently execute sample-preparation workflows.
  • Working knowledge of electron microscopy principles, including SEM and TEM.
  • General understanding of semiconductor device physics and failure-analysis concepts gained through coursework, laboratory work, or prior industry experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven laboratory environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident because the position supports work subject to ITAR regulations.
