Raytheon is seeking a Material Verification Engineer to support the evaluation, disposition, and management of nonconforming material across Raytheon facilities and our third-party logistics (3PL) partner, GXO. In this hands‑on role, you will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment and support inspection processes for supplied materials and products. Your expertise will be directly applied to strengthening the success of Raytheon Operations Quality. This is an onsite position based at Raytheon's third-party logistics (3PL) partner, GXO, in Manchester, NH.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) discipline and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience in a quality environment, OR an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9+ years of experience in a related field is required.
  • Experience with engineering principles, root cause and corrective action (RCCA) methodologies, and design analysis techniques.
  • U.S. Citizen - the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Working knowledge of PRISM, WaveTrak, and RCAS.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and individuals from different backgrounds, fostering productive working relationships and resolving conflicts professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and disposition nonconforming material in accordance with quality and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate Return-to-Vendor (RTV) activities to resolve quality issues and expedite material disposition.
  • Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, production control, maintenance, program management, and technical support, to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality management system requirements.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using the RTX CORE methodology.
  • Work with Raytheon suppliers to drive timely closure of material on-hold.
  • Partner with inspectors to ensure efficient movement of material through the inspection and engineering disposition process.
  • Make material disposition decisions that prioritize quality while also balancing schedule and program delivery requirements.
