Raytheon is seeking a Senior Material Verification and Control Specialist to lead the disposition and management of non‑conforming material across both Raytheon facilities and our third‑party logistics (3PL) partner. In this hands‑on role, you will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment and support inspection processes for supplied materials and products. Your expertise will be directly applied to strengthening the success of Raytheon Operations Quality. This is an onsite position based in Tucson, AZ, with regular onsite support required in Marana, AZ. After a planned material transfer later this year, the Marana location will become the primary work site.

Requirements

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Relevant experience is working with material storage and handling, packaging, packaging non-compliance, supply chain non-conforming material and/or receiving inspection
  • Experience reading/interpreting drawings, work instructions, and/or customer specifications
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Knowledge of PRISM, Business Warehouse, RCAS
  • Competency and experience in a relevant technical discipline with understanding of engineering principles and design analysis techniques.
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from various communities and who represent a multitude of work and conflict resolution styles.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and manage supplied non-conforming material.
  • Support RTV activities.
  • Daily interaction with other cross-business teams in Raytheon to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, supply chain, maintenance, production control, and the program management office.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using CORE.
  • Work directly with Raytheon suppliers to drive the closure of material on hold.
  • Work with inspectors to ensure the material is moved efficiently through inspection process after engineering disposition.
  • Making decisions that may affect program build time in order maintain quality requirements.
