About The Position

To maintain accurate inventory, receive raw materials and product into RF, issue appropriate materials to production, store and ship according to customer requirements and PCI procedures while maintaining compliance with Department of Homeland Security, OSHA, FDA and other certification agency requirements. To maintain a safe working environment, operate material handling equipment and follow all company GMP and Safety Rules. To ship orders complete, accurately and in a timely manner. Support Warehouse Manager and Material Technician. Essential functions include operating forklifts and clamp trucks safely, performing all Material Handler duties as workload dictates, loading and unloading trailers for shipments and receipts, utilizing IQFR and IQRF transactions for all material movements and order processing, securing trailers, installing and removing dock plates, labeling, stretch wrapping, staging, and shipping orders. The role also involves repacking cartons, cycle counting machine locations, receiving and unloading railcars, notifying management and railroad of issues, performing RTIs for returned components, loading and unloading shuttle trailers, preparing weekly inventory reports, printing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, performing RMA’s and PO receipts, responding to telephone queries, assisting in fiscal year-end inventory audit preparation, training new department employees, ensuring manufacturing support, assisting with Shipping Office operations, ensuring timely and accurate order shipment and invoicing, conducting bin checks, maintaining resin/silo unloading procedures, reporting railcar taps, maintaining export documentation knowledge, obtaining freight quotes, preparing for customer audits, and communicating with night shift employees.

  • Fork lift operation experience

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift, clamp truck in safe manner
  • Charge and water forklift batteries
  • Perform all Material Handler duties as Shipping and Receiving workload dictates
  • Load and unload trailers for shipments and receipts
  • Utilize IQFR transactions for all receipts, movements and issues of raw materials and packaging components
  • Utilize IQRF transactions for all receipts, movements, staging and shipping of customer orders, warehouse transfers or customer returns
  • Secure trailers with dock locks or wheel chocks before entering with a forklift
  • Remove or unlock dock locks/wheel chocks when loading/unloading is complete
  • Install and remove dock plates, open and close dock doors and ensure they remain locked for security and safety reasons
  • Label, stretch wrap, stage and ship orders in compliance with customer requirements and PCI procedures
  • Repack cartons as needed
  • Cycle count machine locations each shift
  • Receive railcars into the IQRF system
  • Unload railcar resin into appropriate silos and notify Manager of issues or shortages
  • Notify railroad (BNSF) of required changes in railcar line-up on siding
  • Perform RTI’s for color, liner and WIP caps returned to the warehouse from production
  • Load and unload shuttle trailers and trailers to outside warehouses and other PCI facilities using appropriate transactions
  • Prepare weekly inventory report for Purchasing
  • Print ship sets, bills of lading and labels
  • Call designated carriers providing them with appropriate shipment information
  • Obtain control numbers for and perform RMA’s and PO receipts
  • Respond to telephone queries, receive and send fax information
  • Take part in fiscal year-end inventory audit preparation
  • Assist new Department employees in training
  • Ensure continuity of support for Manufacturing
  • Assist with all Shipping Office operations
  • Ensure all orders ship in a timely, accurate manner through interaction with appropriate Company Departments, Warehouse personnel, customer and carriers
  • Ensure all Company invoicing is done in a timely, accurate manner
  • Ensure bin checks are done in a timely manner and year-end inventory is 100% accurate
  • Ensure resin/silo unloading procedures are strictly followed to maintain accurate, compliant and sufficient resin inventory to meet production needs
  • Alert appropriate people if issues or shortages are encountered
  • Report railcar taps to vendors the day of which they occur ensuring all required taps are done by month end
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of export documentation requirements and prepare documents as needed
  • Obtain freight quotes as requested
  • Prepare for Customer audits/visits and assist in implementing appropriate recommendations
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Communicate directly with night shift employees including prioritization of overnight schedule
  • Responsible for following all Food Safety related policies and procedures
  • Responsible for following all Safety Rules, policies, procedures and work instructions
  • Cover Warehouse Manager and Material Handlers vacations as needed
