About The Position
Finning Canada is seeking a Warehouse Person (Material Supply Assistant), who will be responsible for general shipping/receiving and warehousing duties at our facility in Calgary, AB. This is a temporary position until December 13, 2026. The ideal candidate is a safety-conscious team player, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
Requirements
- High school diploma (Grade 12)
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to successfully work under minimal supervision
- A strong commitment to safety is imperative
- Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
Nice To Haves
- TDG and WHMIS certification, coupled with forklift training will be considered assets
- Previous warehousing and core inspection experience, as well as computer literacy are also desired
- Forklift training, and experience working with radio frequency and bar-coding technology would be assets
Responsibilities
- Picking customer and branch parts orders
- Packing and labeling parts orders for shipment
- Sorting and binning incoming stock
- Loading and unloading of the parts trucks
